Menstrual Health Hygiene
The Wash In Schools Committee, RCNV along with NOGS organised a workshop on 2nd September, for the girls of class VIII-X of Tilak Vidyalaya, Dhantoli. The topic was Menstrual Awareness and Hygiene.
The workshop was conducted by Dr. Shantala Bhole, consultant Gynaecologist, Seven Star Hospital. The event was attended by Chairperson Mrs Sushma Borele and Rtn.Nitya Agrawal, Director community, RCNV
During the workshop, the students were told about the science behind menstruation and were taught basic hygiene that should be maintained during periods. The students were shown some sample menstrual items which can be conveniently and safely used during their menstrual periods. Dr Shantala also talked about ,Good Touch- Bad Touch and how to deal with Bad Touch. In the end, a question-answer round was also conducted.
