Women Upliftment
Being a woman we understand the need to uplift women by giving them the opportunity to educate for a better society and stronger nation. Taking a small but very meaningful steps in this direction are the lady members and Anns of Rotary Club of Nagpur North. Through monthly fellowship programs a small amount of Rs.100/- is donated by every member of the Anns Kitty group. Around 25-30 members are contributing since 4 years and it is a continued project. This amount is then donated to Indira Shanti Niketan Upper Primary School Uppalwadi towards the expenses of bus to pick up and drop children especially girls of daily wagers of the area to school. Total strength of the school was 60 students in 2018, but now it is around 170 students, of which 82 are girls. We have also provided children with books, stationery, bags, uniforms and food grains.
